Lee Roy is the cheerful face behind the daily financial peace of mind for our clients. With his Caribbean roots, he brings a fresh energy that makes even the driest administration a lot more fun. He keeps BVs, VOFs, and foundations tightly organized throughout the year and ensures that all tax returns are filed neatly on time. What truly sets Lee Roy apart is his talent for keeping things simple. With clear feedback and the handiest mnemonics, he ensures that clients always get it — and remember it.

When you meet The Bookie for the first time, when you call us, or when you join one of the workshops during The Bookie Drinks: you won't forget Pip. Helpful, solution-oriented, and straight to the point. You won't find anyone clearer than that. And if she doesn't know the solution herself, she won't let go until you've been helped. That is why Loïse affectionately nicknamed her our very own PipBull.

Loïse is our puzzle bookkeeper with the brain of a developer. The more complex the situation, the harder she runs to fix it — and with a precision you can only admire. Where others give up, Loïse starts warming up.

Stuck as an entrepreneur? Loïse solves it and throws in a dry, ironic joke that immediately takes the tension away. Because numbers don't have to be heavy — certainly not with her by your side.

What is the thinking behind the execution? With Dirk, you can be sure that nothing is applied “just because.” It’s not only the tax law that matters. Logic matters too — and even more importantly, the explanation to the entrepreneur. Because if there’s one thing our originally trained applied psychologist cares about, it’s giving entrepreneurs real insight and helping them grow their business.

Our Babbel Bookie ('Talking Bookie' was a real hospitality tiger and has a background in Communication and Multimedia Design. And we notice that in everything.

For example, Danica not only quickly picked up knowledge about our services ('Dear customer, don't worry, the return you refer to is not a VAT, but an income tax return and does not have to be done until next year'!). She teaches you all the handy features of The Bookie Webapp, our accounting tool. ("If you click on that, it makes a copy and you don't have to do anything anymore: chill, right?").

Did we mention she serves some stiff drinks during The Bookie Borrel, our quarterly customer meeting?

Perfectionist Kai is also the team’s atmosphere keeper. Internally, he checks in when a Bookie could use a little extra love, and he’ll call a client right away if an explanation by email isn’t clear. Because if there’s anyone who excels at translating theory into practice, it’s this Bookie.

Thomas is not only a top developer but also an expert in user interface and user experience. He ensures that our own accounting software, The Bookie Webapp and mobile apps, not only work but also look stylish and feel intuitive. That swag is reflected not just in his clothing style, but also in every line of code and design.

The result? Software that not only performs well but is also easy and beautiful to use.

Meet Daniel, senior member of Team Unit 2 and our rock in the stormy sea of numbers. With years of experience, a sharp eye, and a natural talent for creating order out of chaos, he steers his team smoothly through every project. His analytical skills are unmatched – where others see spreadsheets, he sees patterns.

At home, he’s just as adventurous: married to a Polish woman and (almost) father of four, he’s a true master of juggling multiple responsibilities. Whether it’s crunching numbers or handling bedtime routines – Daniel gets it done. Always with a wink and Diet Coke in hand.

A go-getter with a heart of gold. Ghalid can assess in two minutes, with his years of experience, what needs to be done, what the fastest way is, and how you can keep the most money in your pocket, all within the rules. With an entrepreneurial background, he knows better than anyone what our customers need.

And if you enjoy talking about your passion for your own business, his interest and involvement will go beyond his role as an accountant.

Although talking is her business, likes things simple, fast and fun.

The reason she introduced "Mand" (to understand why she uses the Dutch word for basket: ask her during the quarterly Bookie Drinks) internally. Most know her as Mari, "because spelling your name a thousand times isn't efficient at all."

Mari is responsible for all forms of communication and day-to-day operations.

Inline skating, kiting, motorcycling and climbing: all outlets for sitting behind his desk for hours on end.

Because it is Bookie founder Gijs who invented our product and develops the software.

'People, can't we speed up the process or find an easier way?' is therefore not a crazy common question from someone who studied innovation management.

Accurate, looking for solutions and sensitive. Those qualities that we find very important for an accountant. Because it is not only about doing the job well, but also feeling the need of the entrepreneur and feedback is very important to us.

And that is exactly what the superpower of Shanon, who is a masseuse for Metal bands in her spare time, does: the perfect combination of hard numbers with soft words.

As a real team player, Jessica ensures peace and attention at The Bookie. Goal orientation is characteristic of her: she looks for solutions even in the most challenging situations and asks questions until an answer is found. And if you ask her for help, you will almost always hear, "Yeah, no problem!"

Or rather Cathelijne ten Houte de Lange, but that is a lot of de Lange and we do not do that. So Bookie Cath. An accountant and business economist with a preference for figures, which are wonderfully well-arranged. And a field that is logical and verifiable.

But she is also much more than that. Because the former singer will soon release her first solo record under the name Cathatonic. Vocals, piano, violin, Ableton, you name it. And did we mention she also does Burlesque?
